Been a long time!!

It has been rather a long time since i was here. I just seem to have been so busy with so many other things. Not all crafty things - real life has tended to get in the way a bit.

So, here we are, on New Years Eve, 2010. Next year I hope to actually find out who I am. I have got to the age of 40 and i still havn't discovered the ' real me'. And its not for the lack of trying either!

I have started Art Journalling this year in an effort to help me discover who i actually am underneath the surface. I will put up some pics sometime soon. I have found many blogs relating to art Journalling and have found them to be very inspirational and helpful. I have found a few courses to follow, but I can only afford to use the free ones as the lack of money in this household is astounding...

Saying that, I did get a sparkling, brand spanking new, shiny Lap Top for my birthday pressie! It was from all the family combined. It has a web cam thingy, so I can take a few pics of my art and crafty things and add them to my blog easier than useing a camera and having to faff about with cables and things!! This will open up a whole new part of the internet for me!

So i hope to be here a bit more often, now I have remembered my password(whoops!) and the fact that I had a blog at all.

Damn Computers!

Just after I signed up for this blog,our computer decided to need treatment in intensive care! It is now all wrapped up in bandages and limping about on crutches!!!!

It should be getting repaired properly at the weekend and then I can start putting pics and links up.

My artistic mo-jo has also gone and run away. Also all the pics I was using are now on an external hard drive and the printer is banjaxed anyway......

So, for now I have re-discovered my love of cross-stitching and have started doing one that I had planned to sew for my mum. She died suddenly last september and I'm going to stitch it in her memory. I miss her so much. Its the little things that are worst. Like when one of the kids does something funny or new and I think "must tell mum" then realise she's gone. But I know that she's watching over me and she's never far away.

Well, here I am at last! I read other peeps wonderfull Blogs all the time for crafty ideas and inspiration and thought it was about time I started my own. Should have done it a long time ago cos it was so easy - just got to learn how to upload pics of all the things i've done. Can't promise to post every day ,but will try to do it at least once a week.

It may be about things I've made or fab things that I've seen or just life in general. I just hope someone comes along and reads it....
